Australian Racing Products Redline Raceway comes alive once again this Saturday following on from a very successful race meeting two weeks ago, this time the mixture of entertainment incudes open wheelers in the form of Wingless Sprints for a Super Series round, and Sedans including the Unlimited Sedans state series and Standard Saloons with the annual Gold Rush event.

Racing will begin from 5pm and fans should be at the track early enough to get the best spots around the venue.
In Super Series racing for the Wingless Sprints a number of fancied competitors are amongst the entrants. Wayne Logue, Jake Warren, Angus Hollis, Christopher Temby, and Blake Walsh. Others that have strong performances to take note of include Hayden Clifford, Craig Plater and Cameron O’Brien and other consistent racers such as Ricky McCubbin, Ricky Bailey, Tyler O’Leary and Ebony Hobson. Wingless Sprints are capable of being cutting laps under fifteen seconds per lap when the track is at its fastest.
Redline Club member Sean Lister returns to Unlimited Sedan competition this weekend in the Lucky Sevens Series round. Lister is very hard to beat at Redline is looking forward to this week’s competition against Corey McDonald in his very quick six-cylinder Late Model, Keith Simmonds a recent winner at Wahgunyah, first year class competitor Riley Taylor, and multiple 100 Lap Derby winner Lennie Bonnici amongst the field. Many cars are running a run what you bring race built eight-cylinder engine; however, McDonald has great power to weight and wheels to the ground with his Ford six cylinder. The class is a mixture of Super Sedan, Late Model and AMCA National chassis with full body panels.
Despite two major features running on the same day for the class, the Standard Saloons have still managed to put together a decent field for competition this weekend. Backing up after winning two weeks ago is Jacob Vuillermin the Victorian champion who hails from the Latrobe Valley. Scott Whittle Redline’s number one champion driver having won more Victorian titles than some people have fingers, is also back along with Mitch Foster, Matt and Paul Domburg, Brad Hill, Linken Paterson and another long-time member for Redline whose been a state champion, Craig Templeton.
It is expected the winner of the Gold Rush will come from those names, however, expect Joel McInnes, Micheal Fleming-Robertson, Austin Chivers, Bryce Leek, Zac Barwise, Katie Meyer, Tyson Randall, Bailey Sinclair and our other Redline member drivers Jayden and Jacob Head to be in amongst some of the best battles through the field.
Spectator gates open at 2pm and entry is at 569 Yankee Flat Road Buninyong. Eftpos is available and onsite food vans operate.
